Portsmouth Listens invites residents to get involved and impact the decision making process through public dialogue. The steering committee meets once a month, following the study circle format to discuss local issues and plan upcoming community conversations. If you are interested in attending, please complete the form below and the committee chair will respond promptly.
In addition to monthly steering committee meetings, city-wide dialogues are held on various dates. All events are free and open to the public, check back on this website periodically to find out about upcoming events. You can also sign up for the email list below.
The work of public engagement and deliberative dialogue is only as strong as its facilitators. New Hampshire Listens, parent organization of Portsmouth Listens, periodically holds facilitator trainings across the state. Training sessions last an entire day, and are usually held on Saturdays. Learn more about Facilitator Trainings by visiting NH Listens website.
