Portsmouth Listens and The Citywide Neighborhood Committee invite you to attend this year’s 2015 City of Portsmouth Candidates Forums for the November 3rd, 2015 elections. The Citywide Neighborhood Committee – a Mayor Blue Ribbon Committee is co-sponsoring the event with us this year. Portsmouth Listens, a citywide non-partisan volunteer organization, is facilitating round table dialogues between the voters of Portsmouth and the candidates for municipal offices. Portsmouth Listens has held similar dialogues in the past years, which have proven to be informative for both the public and those seeking office.

Portsmouth Listens Candidate Forums are unique because you will interact directly with all of the candidates. It is your opportunity to ask your questions directly to the candidates.

The School Board, Police and Fire Commission Candidates Forum is at the Portsmouth High School Library on Thursday evening, October 22nd, starting at 6:30PM. It will be a busy night at PHS because they are also hosting the 8th Grade Open House that evening. Please be aware that parking could be an issue so arrive early. We hope that you, your neighbors, and friends will attend this forum to discuss with the candidates your hopes and concerns regarding the city’s future.
